Police in Simdega district of Jharkhand recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunitions of suspected Maoists from a jungle on Sunday. In an anti-Maoist operation, district's police and CRPF personnel recovered the large cache from nearby Arani village. Police have taken some local villagers in custody for inquiry. Maoist rebels in recent months have stepped up attacks in response to a government security offensive to clear them out of their jungle bases.
