Hyde Park celebrates the Olympic closing ceremony!

Thousands of people unable to get tickets for the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games gathered in Hyde Park to watch live music and part of the ceremony of a huge screen. Live music was due to be held later, after the opening sequences of the ceremony were streamed live into the park. London bade a flamboyant and madcap farewell to the Olympic Games with a romp through British pop and fashion, bringing the curtain down on more than two weeks of action that ended with America topping the sporting world with 46 gold medals.
