A day before he retires from office, Army chief General VK Singh today said that there was no misunderstanding between the army and the Ministry of Defence (MoD). As he hangs up his uniform tomorrow, Singh, while addressing reporters one last time as Army Chief, said that he only wanted to be remembered as a soldier. He added that modernization would help the forces further build their capacity, however, all three units of the armed forces were prepared to face any challenge.
