Independent mechanism to probe air mishaps: Praful Patel

Newly formed Civil Aviation Safety Advisory Council (CASAC) met in New Delhi for the first time today and focused on areas where more attention is required to be paid to strengthen the safety environment. Addressing reporters after the meet, civil aviation minister Praful Patel informed the government will set up independent mechanisms to investigate air accidents, adding that a court of inquiry into the Mangalore air crash will be set up very soon.
