India's independent poll panel on Sunday said that it was talking all possible steps to ensure free and fair general elections. Chief Election Commissioner N Gopalaswami told reporters in New Delhi that video cameras would be used to track candidates with criminal records. India will hold a general election between April 16 and May 13. With just a month and a half to go, parties are reaching out to each other for pre-election tie-ups.
