India has developed, no doubt but it is a case of miles to go before we sleep. This is how Indian citizens has visualised things. Asked to comment on India at 60, the respondents said India has still a long way to go. But it 'has the potential to develop as a major nation'. It's a perfect practice of democracy and a vibrant economy right now and we are making very good progress in a right direction. India is going to be a superpower," says another respondent. "India has developed but it needs to develop more - technically and politically...Our sportsmen and scientists are bringing laurels. Our brain power has surely come a long way," the students maintain. "India has certainly developed over the past few years but it needs to resolve the population problem. Its human resources must be tapped and developed," says another respondent. A report by Nitasha Sharma.
