India will try to put the humiliating whitewash in the Test series, played against England, behind them, when the two champions gets underway with the one-off Twenty20 in Manchester on Wednesday. India will rely on its young batting brigade hoping that it will be able to counter the seaming conditions. On a tour plagued by injuries, India look thin on batting. Indian opening batsman Gautam Gambhir was ruled out of the one-off T20 and the following ODI series against England on Tuesday after he failed to recover from concussion. Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid may have to respond to the team's call on Wednesday, though with just one T20 international between them.
