Speaking to the media in Bangalore on September 14, Chief Minister of Gujarat, Narendra Modi, urged the country to unite against terrorism. Modi's remarks came in the wake of the five serial blasts that shook New Delhi on September 13, killing 20 people and injuring at least 90. Meanwhile, Home Minister, Shivraj Patil convened a meeting in New Delhi on Sunday at his residence, to discuss security measures in the wake of terror attacks in the country.
