Updated on Apr 29, 2011 09:48 pm IST

Pakistan and India agreed to examine trading in electricity and petroleum products to bolster their commercial ties at the end of two days of talks on Thursday, as the two nuclear rivals seek to revive a peace process that was derailed after the 2008 Mumbai attack. Pakistan's Commerce Secretary Zafar Mahmood told reporters the talks were held in a "very cordial and constructive manner". A joint statement after the meeting said working groups would be set in the next two months to examine how to initiate and expand trade in all types of petroleum products and study feasibility of electricity trade.
