India, Srilanka to construct 50,000 houses for Lankan displaced

India and Srilanka have decided to construct 50,000 houses for the IDPs (internally displaced persons) in the northern and eastern parts of Sri Lanka. Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao revealed this while briefing the media persons about the meeting between Srilankan president Rajapaksa and Manmohan Singh at New Delhi on Wednesday.
