Indian artiste recreates the historic Bamiyan Buddha

An Indian artist Raghuveer Panwar has recreated the historic statue of Bamiyan Buddha in Dehradun. The original statue was in Afghanistan, which was being destroyed by Taliban in 2001 in Afghanistan. The replica has been made with great care by Panwar, who had worked at Bamiyan for nine years, after a detailed study from various photographs of the statue. The replica made by him has become quite famous with locals and tourists thronging his place.
