Family members of Kirpal Singh, an Indian languishing in Pakistan's Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore, expresses hope of his release after the recent reunion of Kashmir Singh and his family hit the headlines. Kirpal Singh was with Indian army's Punjab regiment when he went missing. He was arrested by Pakistani intelligence agencies in 1992 and charged with various crimes that included spying, involvement in various terrorist activities and bomb blasts and was sentenced to death.
