Indian PM upbeat about enhanced ties with Pak

Addressing a public rally after inaugurating a bridge over the River Chenab in Akhnoor of Kashmir, the Indian Prime Minister on a two-day visit to the state, hoped that all disputes including control of the Himalayan territory of Kashmir would be resolved amicably through engagement with the new government in neighboring Pakistan. India and Pakistan began improving relations in April 2003 after they came close to fighting a fourth war the previous year.
