Indian Zari finds huge demand in overseas markets

India's time-honoured Zari embroidery work is finding admirers in overseas markets as well. Zari is used for the embellishment of fabrics and of late its export has risen significantly. Bareilly, one of the main centres of Zari work, is attracting huge export opportunities hovering around 2 billion rupees annually. The presence of India's famed work can be felt in the USA, UK, Japan and Saudi Arabia.
