Indigenisation only solution to avoid shady defence deals: Antony

As pressure mounts on the government over alleged kickbacks in the Italian choppers deal, defence minister AK Antony on Wednesday called for reduced import of defence equipments to avoid any trouble in the future. Addressing an event in New Delhi, Antony said that latest allegations have re-affirmed his belief that the country should focus on making military equipments, rather than importing any new piece of weaponry.
