Updated on Jul 07, 2010 09:21 pm IST
While interacting with media after the induction of the first Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) into the Indian Navy at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) in Bangalore on Tuesday, AK Antony, India's Defence Minister observed that there is a conscious and calculated attempt to push more militants into Kashmir from across the border of Pakistan. Meanwhile, to a question whether the armed forces would be used to tackle the Maoist menace, Antony stated that armed forces are meant for border security and cannot be deployed in Maoist-affected areas or in the maintenance of domestic law and order problems.
