J-K Assembly: PDP MLA slaps marshal

A People's Democratic Party (PDP) MLA Syed Bashir Ahmed on Wednesday slapped a marshal while being evicted from the Jammu and Kashmir legislative assembly. He was soon overpowered by other watch and ward staff and evicted from the House, on orders from the Speaker. Ahmed was raising the issue of Kashmiri pandit migrants from Pulwama, who have not received ration this month till now. Meanwhile, PDP leaders also staged a walk-out during the assembly session on Wednesday over the transfer of officer who was investigating the alleged sexual harassment case against former provincial health minister Shabir Ahmad Khan.
