J&K govt formation: PDP's Mufti Sayeed meets PM Modi
Updated on Feb 27, 2015 03:35 pm IST
PDP patron Mufti Mohammed Sayeed on Friday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and invited him for the swearing-in ceremony of the PDP-BJP alliance government in Jammu and Kashmir. After the meeting, Sayeed said that Modi has agreed to attend the function to be held at the Zorawar auditorium in Jammu on Sunday. The meeting comes after the BJP and PDP reached a consensus on a Common Minimum Programme (CMP) that will form the basis of their coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir. The new alliance government is unique as the BJP, which secured 25 seats in the Assembly elections, will be part of the government in the sensitive state.
