As the 'Jal Satyagraha' protest entered the 15th day on Wednesday, police forcibly evicted the protesters, who had been sitting in neck-deep water demanding a reduction in the height of the Indira Sagar dam in Harda district of Madhya Pradesh. The cops started evicting villagers after the state government imposed section 144 of the IPC. The police used heavy force as the protestors refused to budge.
