Putting an end to all the speculations, the Janata Dal (United) today finally announced that there would not be any alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Bihar government. Addressing a press conference in Patna, JD (U) president Sharad Yadav said that their relationship with BJP saw many ups and downs in the last 17 years but they tried to work together under NDA's national agenda. But the developments in the last six months had made things difficult for them to work together with the BJP. He also resigned from the post of NDA convenor.
