Jnaneswari probe: Prime accused Bapi Mahato arrested

Days after the CBI named him as one of the prime accused in the Jnaneswari train disaster, senior PCAPA member Bapi Mahato was arrested from a guesthouse in Jamshedpur in the early hours of Sunday by a joint team of the West Bengal and Jharkhand police. Bapi was arrested following a tip-off that he was hiding in Rai Lodge, located in the Adityapur area of Jamshedpur. Mahato stayed in the guesthouse under the name of his brother-in-law, Vimal Mahato.
