Justice Hegde takes resignation back

In a sudden turn of events, Justice Nitte Santosh Hegde withdrew his resignation as Lokauykta, which he had tendered last month after being frustrated at the Karnataka government's failure to curb illegal mining. His decision to withdraw resignation followed intensive parleys with leaders of (BJP). BJP chief Nitin Gadkari, accompanied by state chief BS Yeddyurappa, held half-an-hour long talks at Hegde's house. Party veteran Lal Krishna Advani also spoke to Hegde over the phone.
