Kabir's mausoleum attracts people across faiths in Gorakhpur

Gorakhpur is a popular religious center in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh. The city was home to Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim, Jain and Sikh saints during the religious and devotional movement of the fifteenth and sixteenth century known as the Bhakti movement.Saint Kabir a proponent of peace is still remembered for his writings and verses,which endorsed the idea of religious harmony. He spent the last three years of his life in Gorakhpur.In Maghar village of Sant Kabir Nagar district, people from different faiths visit his mausoleum.
