Kolkata fire: Mamata deflects blame
Updated on Dec 10, 2011 12:11 pm IST
It was black Friday not only for Kolkata, but for India. The basement of the hospital was used for stocking medicines and medical equipment instead of a car park that it was meant for. The chief minister Mamata Banerjee has deflected the blames in this mishap. The West Bengal government said the authorities at AMRI hospital were warned about the misuse of the basement at the hospital and had asked them to clear the basement in September.
