Kuchipudi dancers create world record

Over 2,800 Kuchipudi dancers created a world record in Hyderabad on Monday for the assembly of the largest number of such artistes performing at a time. Witnessed by President Pratibha Devisingh Patil and state Chief Minister Kiran Reddy, the venue was packed with cheering spectators. A representative of the Guinness Book of World Records present at the venue announced the new Guinness World record for the largest Kuchipudi dance, and presented the certificate.
