Lalgarh continues to simmer under Maoist violence

Trouble continues in Lalgarh in West Bengal state as Tribals and members of the People's Committee against Police Atrocities continue their violent protests. The protestors had earlier gone on a rampage, setting on fire an abandoned police station and house of a local communist leader. Addressing a rally, Chatradhar Mahato, leader of the People's Committee against Police Atrocities, said that their fight was going to continue and they will not let the police enter the village.
