Left adamant over N-deal

Communists did not seem to be softening their position over the Indo- US nuclear deal at a meeting of a panel that aims to resolve their row with the government. The panel, consisting of senior government leaders and communist representatives, was formed last month after the left parties warned prime minister coalition of "serious consequences" if it did not dump the historic pact. General Secretary of the Communist Party of India accused the US of pressurising India on the Nuclear Deal.
