Left meets President to formalize pull out

The Left parties on Wednesday formally ended their four year relationship with the UPA government. They met President Pratibha Patil on Wednesday and handed over the letter of withdrawal of support in the afternoon. Leaders of the four Left parties led by CPI (M) general secretary Prakash karat went to the Rashtrapati Bhavan to meet the President. Karat said that they have given two letters to the President.
