Trinamool Congress chief Mamta Banerjee on Sunday slammed the communist government of West Bengal for using force against protesting villagers at Singur. At least 20 people were injured earlier in the day in clashes between police and activists opposed to the proposed setting up of a Tata Motors car factory there. Talking to reporters, Banerjee said the government was not justified in using force against the villagers.
