Manipur blockade: Administration steps up efforts

The provision of security to trucks ferrying essential commodities to blockade-hit Manipur has brought a ray of hope among the locals. For the past 100 days, residents in Manipur had been forced to endure scarcity of almost all items due to the blockade imposed by certain ethnic factions of the state. Shopkeepers heaved a sight of relief as essentials reached local markets in Imphal.
