Maoist killings force Chhattisgarh villagers to leave homes

Pestered by the Maoists, many panic-stricken villagers of Mohala in Kanker region of Chhattisgarh have abandoned their homes and hearths. They have left behind their lands and taken shelter at a school in Pakhanjur. In the last few days, Maoists have allegedly killed five people in Mohala, including the village head. As a result, villagers were left with no option but to vacate the village as the fear of rebels constantly haunted them.
