Maoists call for a weeklong strike in West Bengal

Maoists called for a weeklong strike across several districts of West Bengal on Wednesday to protest against the killing of their top leader in an encounter. The strike was called by a Maoist outfit, People's Committee Against Police Atrocities (PCAPA), in protest against the gunning down of their chairman Lalmohan Tudu by security forces in Lalgarh region of the state on February 23.
