Maoists call for shutdown in Gaya

Maoists have called for a 12 hour-long shutdown in Bihar's Gaya city. Maoists have called for the shutdown to protest against the alleged police atrocities on Maoists. Traffic on the highway on the outskirts of the Gaya came to a standstill with a large number of load carriers getting stranded. Many truck drivers whose trucks were parked along the highway said that they have harrowing experiences of such shutdown calls and feel scared.
