Maoists injure a CRPF officer in Bihar during ongoing polls

A Paramilitary official was seriously injured in a bomb blast on Saturday in Bihar, where the sixth phase of assembly elections is in progress. The police officials suspect the role of Maoists in the bomb blast, which took place when Chop Singh Sharma, the injured Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) officer was taking the polling party to conduct elections in nearby villages. Around 35,000 central paramilitary force personnel have been deployed at all the booths in 11 Maoist-affected constituencies in Gaya and Aurangabad districts.
