Maoists kill SPO's mother in Chhattisgarh

A Maoists outfit attacked the house of an anti-Naxalite operative and murdered his mother in Chhattisgarh on Friday. This gory incident took place at Kalanur village in Narayanpur district during the early morning hours. The ultras targeted the house of Mukesh Kaved, who was a Special Police Officer (SPO) and active in the Salwa Judum and wanted to know his whereabouts from the parents. Reportedly, he is at a protection facility of the police. Using batons, the Maoists bashed Mukesh Kaved's mother Punki Bai Kaved to death while the father Rup Ji Kaved, was hanged on a tree but somehow survived the ordeal.
