Maoists planting landmines on roads in Bihar

With the aim to obstruct the security operations the Maoists are planting landmines on concrete roads in remote areas of Bihar, when the construction work is in progress.Senior Superintendent of Police, Gaya, Vinay Kumar said that police personnel and security forces were de-mining the area and security drills were being undertaken at regular intervals with an aim to avert any untoward incident. Continuing their spiral of violence against democratic and social institutions of the country, the ultras have recently used explosives to blow schools, hospitals and government buildings.Meanwhile, villagers living in Dumaria area said that they are facing the brunt of the fight between the police and extremists as both of them threaten them.
