Maoists punish two at the kangaroo court

Continuing their reign of violence and fear, scores of armed Maoist ultras held a 'Jan Adalat' (Kangaroo Court) in the Latehar district of Jharkhand on Sunday.Armed rebels of a local Maoist outfit supervised the kangaroo court,in which two youth were accused and punished for allegedly acting as police informers.The youth were roughed up and tied in ropes, following which the Maoists 'ordered' them to keep out of the area for two years. Several scared villagers, including women and children, witnessed the proceedings of the kangaroo court.
