Maoists will now be confronted, warns Chidambaram

Strongly condemning the cold-blooded murder of a cop who was abducted and killed by the Maoists, Home Minister P Chidambaram said the state governments, for the first time, were geared up to give tit for tat to the Maoists. Police on Tuesday found the decapitated body of the cop in Ranchi who was abducted by the Maoists demanding release of their three arrested leaders in exchange for the officer.
