Mass cremation in Uttarakhand

Piles of wood is being prepared to be dropped in the flood-hit Uttarakhand on Tuesday for the mass cremation of the dead bodies, while paramilitary forces continued the evacuation of stranded people. In Gauchar, officials of the air force and paramilitary forces loaded wood and other material that is used for cremation amid concerns of an outbreak of disease from rotting bodies. Meanwhile in Dehradun, former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Bhagat Singh slammed the ruling government and chief minister, Vijay Bahuguna for their disaster management efforts.
