Massive fire engulfs blade making factory in Thane

A massive fire engulfed a blade-making factory in Thane district of Maharashtra late on Sunday, causing losses amounting to millions of rupees. The nearby residents vacated the area,as the rescue operation commenced. No casualties were reported and the cause of fire is still to be ascertained. More than 300 workers, who used to work in the 50 year old factory, may now have to seek new employment.
