Media industry to double sales by 2011

According to the FICCI-PricewaterhouseCoopers annual media report, the year 2006 was a turning point for the industry marking the beginning of its convergence. The age of convergence has led to collaborations between the value-chain partners to provide new products and services to consumers, leading to the creation of media conglomerates. The industry is estimated to be worth Rs 43,700 crore currently.
