In a shocking incident, a 30-year-old destitute and mentally challenged woman was raped by the watchman and ward boy of a government-run hospital in Pune in a lift, where she was admitted. The woman was raped on Thursday (August 29), though the gory incident was brought to light on Sunday when the victim was brought back to her shelter home. The news of the severe brutality soon called up a mass protest by local women outside Bhosri Police Station. The police said that they had already arrested two of the accused persons and presented them before the court.
