The much-anticipated merger parleys between the Indian government backed Hockey India (HI) and the Indian Hockey Federation (IHF) reached no consensus on Friday as both the sports bodies disagree on certain clauses of power sharing and recognition. Representatives of both the bodies interacted with mediapersons after attending a high-level meeting convened by the Central Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in New Delhi on Friday. Meanwhile, on its part, the IHF maintained that it has not been given enough operational powers as proposed in the new set-up.
