Updated on Dec 09, 2010 07:53 pm IST
Director of the Asian Centre for Human Rights (ACHR) Subhash Chakma, on Wednesday alleged that the mining companies operating in the Maoist infested areas are mainly helping and arming the rebels. At a press conference held at New Delhi, Chakma further blamed the central government of not doing enough to expose such nexus between the companies and the Maoists. According to ACHR, this nexus is helping the companies to carry out their business as usual in the Maoist infested areas.
