MNS slams Rahul Gandhi

Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi's remarks on migration of people in Uttar Pradesh to Maharashtra in search of jobs has drawn sharp criticism from Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray. Thackeray said that when the Congress was in power in Uttar Pradesh, it should have done enough so that the people there need not have migrated at all. Thackeray added that the local people should get first preference in getting jobs in Maharashtra. Speaking at a rally in Phulpur on Monday, Rahul Gandhi had said that the current state government in UP must do enough so that the locals there need not go to Maharashtra and 'beg' for jobs.
