Montek admits to corruption in contracting

Deputy Chairman of India's Planning Commission, Montek Singh Ahluwalia says corruption has always been associated with contracting. While addressing a function in Mumbai on Tuesday, Ahluwalia said large scale corruption is associated with contracting and use of discretionary power to favour some people. Commenting on the Lokpal Bill, he said the bill is in the Parliament and they are trying to strengthen the investigating agencies with the ability to probe and prosecute corrupt people.
