People's Democratic Party (PDP) patron Mufti Mohammed Sayeed on Thursday met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the issue of the withdrawal of troops from the civilian areas of the strife-torn Kashmir. Sayeed, who received no assurance on army withdrawal from Singh, said the discussion would continue. He said the troops should return to the barracks as violence was somewhat contained. Media reports said PDP has decided to pull out if chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad did not endorse reduction in troops in Kashmir and scrap a draconian terror law. Sayeed, however, said the coalition politics was not discussed.
