Mumbai attacks planned to retard progress: Prez

Indian President Pratibha Devisingh Patil termed the Mumbai attacks as an attempt to retard country's economic progress. Addressing the last session of the parliament prior to general elections in New Delhi on Thursday, Patil said the various terror attacks across the Indian cities were an assault on all the values of the country. Patil further added that the nation faced multiple internal security challenges.
