Naga leaders fail to turn up for tripartite talks

Leaders of the agitating United Naga Council (UNC) and the All Naga Students Association (ANSAM) did not turn up for scheduled tripartite talks with the government of northeastern Manipur and central government representatives on Saturday.The Ministerial and Official team waited for the UNC executive members for about two hours at the DC office Senapati for the meeting and later due to the lack of response from the organization the team left Senapati.Naveen Verma,while addressing the media persons said all the demands raised by the Naga groups are in the domain of the state government.
