Polling for state assembly in Nagaland began on March 5, amidst tight security. About 1.3 million voters are expected to exercise their franchise in the polls today in which 218 candidates, including four women, are contesting for the 60 assembly seats. The main contest is between the Nagaland People's Front (NPF), which is contesting from 56 seats, and the Congress, which is contesting for all the 60 seats.
